    Tips For Using Your

    SOVT Vocal Straw

    Unpacking and Storing your Straw

Unscrew the top of the blue casing and take out your straw. The telescopic cleaner will be hidden inside the straw.

    To safely remove the cleaner:

    • unscrew the aperture
    • push the brush fully inside the straw
    • grasp the handle of the cleaner at the other end of the straw (the wide end)
    • carefully pull the straw out

We recommend that you keep the cleaner inside the blue metal case while you are using the straw.

Unscrew the aperture to reveal the cleaner

Push the brush head back inside the straw

Taking Care of your SOVT Straw:

Looking after your SOVT Straw is relatively simple. It's made of food grade 304 stainless steel, so you can pretty much treat it like a regular piece of cutlery. However, in order to elongate the life of your SOVT Straw, we recommend the following best practices when cleaning your device:

    CLEANING THE STRAW AFTER USE

Make sure you clean your SOVT Straw after every use (both inside and out). If you just want a quick clean, wipe the outside with a cloth and use the provided telescopic cleaner (pictured above) to gently brush the inside surface.

For a full clean, use warm, soapy water and use the provided telescopic cleaner to clean the insides of the device. We recommend collapsing and extending your SOVT Straw a few times during this process to ensure you're reaching every part of the internal surfaces.

    LET YOUR STRAW AIR DRY

Don't put the straw back into the container straight after cleaning with water - let it dry out first.

    IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT YOUR STRAW:

    • The SOVT Straw is designed and engineered specifically as an expiratory voice training tool.
    • The straw should not be used for drinking as some liquids may damage the tool.
    • Avoid using a metal, wire brush to clean the straw - this might scratch the finish which will damage the straw's protective layers.
    • Clean the straw at least once per month with an isopropyl alcohol wipe for a "deep clean" and to remove any buildup or bacteria.
