You’ll find Melanie in the Central Coast region- Charmhaven and Niagara Park, working in the clinic, at schools, preschools and also visiting clients at their homes.
Melanie is part of the Goodstart Enhancing Children’s Outcomes (ECHO) program based at Goodstart Early Learning in Blue Haven one day each week.
Melanie is a qualified Early Childhood Educator and after working with children for many years she decided to expand her qualifications and train as a Speech Pathologist. Her biggest inspiration for this career choice is her own child with special needs. Melanie’s area of interest is early language development- “I am passionate about supporting and empowering families to help their children to become effective communicators during the formative years of their life. Speech Pathology is an exciting field with many challenges and opportunities and allows me to work with people and their families across all different ages and capabilities. Each and every day I am so lucky that I am able to make a positive different in people’s lives and to be able to share the joy with clients and their families when they reach their goals”.
Melanie facilitates the Speech Pathology Supported Playgroup at Dolphin Cottage on Wednesdays. She is trained in Key Word Sign and Audiometry screening
